Filming Sports Action With A Contour Camera
Athletes no longer have to settle for video that a spectator captures
. With the use of a Contour camera, the athlete can make videos while they are in the action. The Contour camera is designed to be durable enough to withstand the jarring, knocks, bumps, and dirt that the camera is exposed to while in use.
Whether the video is shared privately with friends and family or showcased on an athlete's website, the quality video can allow the audience to get a piece of the action. Contour cameras can be used for adventure vacations, family outings, sporting events, team practices, and any time a hands-free camera is desirable.
Each camera model has an internal microphone, USB output, 2GB memory card, and the ability to shoot HD video. The ContourHD and ContourGPS have one hundred thirty-five degree wide angle lens while the ContourROAM and Contour+ have a wide angle lens of one hundred seventy degrees. The Contour+ offers live streaming via HDMI.
The cameral models and accessories can be used to take videos of a wide variety of sports. Water sports require the use of a waterproof case to protect the camera. The athlete must get the appropriate waterproof case that fits the model of camera. Waterproof cases are sold for the Contour+, ContourGPS, and ContourROAM cameras.
The athlete can tailor their filming equipment to suit the needs of the sport and get the best action shots. The right mount for the camera can provide quality shots of the action. The Contour cameras use mounts so that they do not need to be held. Different mounts are available to either secure the camera to a bike or surfboard. The person also can use a helmet, goggle, or headband mount for a view of the action like the viewer is participating.
For any sports using a vehicle with a windshield, a suction cup mount is available. Special mounts have been designed for compound bows and tactical weapons. A pole mount can be used to secure the camera to any ski pole.
Competing athletes can provide fans with insights into the action with live video feeds during competitions and events. Not only does the Contour+ allow the user to provide live feeds, but it has an external microphone capability to allow the person to easily communicate with the audience or offer interviews.
With the right equipment, people can use a Contour camera to create videos that show what they see during the sport. With editing and effects, the athlete can create a video memory that not only shows the audience how it feels to be in the action but provide more details and personal touches to make the video reflect the athlete's attitude about the sport and personality.
