Financial Problems Into Profits: Why Problems Are Doors To Dollars
When people write or talk to me on how to solve there financial problems, you know what I ask them? I ask, "what problems are you solving for others." Why? Because the financial benefits you receive in a capitalistic society is determined by the types of problems you solve for other people.
The kind of people who see opportunities others miss never see problems as negative. Instead they practice seeing problems as potential profits or opportunities to serve. This is based on a 18 month study funded by the U.S Department of Commerce. Remember on the other side of every problem is a potential profit. Ask yourself this question each day, how many potential profit opportunities are you walking past each day?
Oxford University did a study and found on average people are exposed to over 207 potential money making opportunities a day. The hundreds of daily money making opportunities represent various degrees of simplicity and difficulty.
But the key comes down to the individuals ability to remove the blinders and limitations so they can see the opportunities. For example, have you ever seen a simple product or service that made millions and made you slap your forehead and say, "why didn't I think of that?" Of course you have, we all have.
How To Turn Problems Into Gold
The person who thought of that simple, crazy, even insane idea took the blinders and limitations off their thinking for at least a minute. The degree of problems you solve determine the degree of profits you make. That's why if you're success oriented (and you are or you wouldn't be reading this), problems are your friend not your foe.
Repeat after me, "problems are good, they show me profit opportunities." If you'll repeat that 10 times before going to bed and upon arising, this will happen. In 30 days you'll have more money making opportunities than you can handle.
Imagine seeing the kind of opportunities by accident that most people pay others thousands of dollars to find for them.
How Problems Determine Degrees of Wealth
Ironically, a problem doesn't have to be complex to pay big, although many are. But it's surprising how many simple solutions to everyday problems have made average people rich. The solutions to problems that can make you slap your forehead and say, "why didn't I think of that?
Have imagined a simple solution to a problem but quickly told yourself it would never work? It's too simple? If it was a good idea a big corporation would have done it already? Or any other logical sounding reason. Yet years or months later someone does what you were thinking about and rakes in huge profits, ouch! So, the good news is the problems that can earn you huge profits can be simple, routine or even mundane.
Here's the 3-prong approach to profits to finding profits in hidden opportunities:
1. Identify the problem and/or people with the problem.
2. Find, create or provide the solution.
3. Find a way(s) to bring the two together.
Problems Can Discourage You or Make You Dollars
Teachers solve education problems, auto mechanics solve auto repair problems, attorneys solve legal problems. What problems are you finding to solve for people today? Are you listening for problems to solve? Listen in conversations, while you're watching television or listening to talk radio or to news reports. Listen for problems that need solving, whether you think you can solve them or not, it's good practice.
Don't be like others and allow problems to discourage you, start letting problems encourage you ... all the way to the bank. And they will if you follow these simple but powerful tips.
I've often said, "show me a problem and I'll show you opportunities to advance to the next level." Remember, your business or career success depends on the types of problems you're willing to help solve for other people. Now can you see how problems can be doors to dollars?
