Find A Job That Will Use Your Six Sigma

After all the effort and money invested into Six Sigma Training

, no one wants their skills to go unnoticed. Therefore, it may become apparent that a job search is on the horizon if the efforts aren't quickly appreciated by the company that currently employs the newest certified Six Sigma trainee. There are many different jobs that can be found specifically in the Six Sigma industry, including a variety of junior and senior level positions available in many different places. There isn't discrimination as to which industry these jobs are found in, either. There are Six Sigma jobs in a variety of industries for all types of certified professionals.

Many companies will rely on internal resources to fill these positions, of course. That way, the teams are already familiar with the corporate or organizational culture as well as the best practices for Six Sigma. After all, it doesn't matter how qualified someone is for a Six Sigma position, because the fact that they still need to learn the culture and environment of the organization will hinder their abilities when compared to a person hired from the inside.

When you do find Six Sigma Job listings, you will generally find two different types of listings. First will be the obvious listings that state that they are hiring for Six Sigma Projects, such as an opening for Six Sigma Black Belt or Six Sigma Team Leader. However, there is another category of job listings that won't be as obvious to spot. You might find a variety of listings that list Functional Project Manager or Business Project Lead as the job title, without the mention of Six Sigma Training. Differentiating between these jobs and which ones actually are Six Sigma based will prove to be a little more challenging.

You will need to prove your skills in the Six Sigma Process, obviously. However, you should also have proper teaching and/or leadership skills, and some companies will require project completion or previous experience to prove it. It all depends on the listings that you find.

No matter the listing, you should always show that you are well versed in the processes and Six Sigma Methodology, as well as the fact that you are able and willing to take charge and become a leader in quality improvement process. With the right training, anyone can master the principles of Six Sigma Certification. However, it takes a serious and passionate person to prove themselves worthy of being hired from the outside.
