If you are looking for Indian River Community College you may have trouble finding a home page. The trustee's have renamed the college three times which can cause confusion. The term "junior" was replaced by "community" and ultimately, in 2008, changed to Indian River "State" College. The campus, thankfully, has not changed physical location still residing in Fort Pierce, Florida. With over 33,000 applicants per year, this college is indisputably popular. The institution is a 4 year or above state college but still offers certifications, associate degrees and now bachelor degrees. With its ever expanding repertoire it will come as no surprise if it begins to offer graduate courses.
Programs
The new bachelor programs that River College offer are Education, Science Degree in Nursing, Science Degree in Applied Science, Applied Science in Organizational Management, Science in Biology, Applied Science in Digital Media, Science in Human Services, and Science Degree in Teacher Education.
Due to the fact that the college was primarily a 2 year school its offering for Associate Degree's is vast. Everything from Architecture, Biotechnology, Business Administration, Chemistry, English, Forestry/Wildlife Ecology & Conservation, History and Physics is offered. Tuition & Fees
In state fees are around $1900 but if you are coming out of state expect to pay closer to $7300 per year. Room and board costs around $5500, books and supplies about $1000. These figures obviously exclude personal expenses that the student may occur.

Brown College
Established in the mid 1940's, Brown is a for-profit school located in Mendota Heights and Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The institution is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. Brown is an adaptive college, illustrated by its recent development of the School of Healthcare. The institution seeks to educate its student body on those careers that have become more valuable.
Programs
Brown offers very specific and limited programs aimed to empower students with mastery levels of education. There are five schools available at the college they are School of Healthcare, School of Design, School of Criminal Justice, School of Broadcasting, School of Technology, and also offered is a Business Management of Degree. Within these branches 20 different programs are offered including: Health Information Technician, Medical Assistant, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Digital Photography, Game Design & Development, Information Technology, Interior Design, Network Development, Radio Broadcasting, Software Development Visual Communications - Graphic Design, and Visual Communications - Multimedia.
Brown is especially proud of its Broadcasting Degree Program. The campus has been developing innovative teaching opportunities and adapting to technological advancements, such as internet broadcasting. The Broadcasting program consists of the courses that its founders have been developing for over 40 years and also awarded them notoriety.
Mendota Heights, Minnesota
Minnesota is fairly sparse compared to other states and is about average in population size. Principal means of transportation are roadways and highways although railcars are also popular. Minnesota has extreme temperature with very cold winters and hot summers. Summer can reach high 90's accompanied by unwanted humidity and winters reaching in the low 30's.
Transportation
Students travel around the campus on bikes,
fast electric scooters, skateboards, gas and
electric motor scooters and of course walking. Students can live off campus and often ride their transportation of choice from their homes to classes. Purchasing such transportation is an expense, which means the listed modes of transportation make excellent
