Every girl dreams about her wedding day from the time that she is little
. She plays dress up with her friends, dances to slow songs, and steals her mom's jewelry to get all dressed up for the big day.
You will not find any boy who dreams about his wedding day. Instead he thinks about cartoons, sports, and fighting moves that he wants to practice.
When the girl reaches her teenage years, this is when she seriously starts thinking about more of the details that are involved with a wedding. She thinks about things such as, her hairstyle, dress, ring, ceremony, the place where it will happen, what her future husband will look like, what kinds of flowers she wants, what her bridesmaids will be wearing, what kind of food she wants at the reception, where she wants to go on her honeymoon, and what kind of table centerpieces she wants.
Figuring out how you want to style your hair on the big day is very important and should be considered beforehand. It is also a good idea to try it out a few days before so you can see if there are any problems and if it will work well with your veil.
You want to find a style that compliments your face and will add to your beauty. You do not want something that takes away from your face or is nothing special.
If you have a formal event, then you need to have more of a formal up do. You may want to add some accessories like tiaras, headbands, flowers, jewels, or pins.
For a fairy tale look, a tiara works really well and can complement the rest of your dress if it is in good taste. Do not go overboard and get a huge crown that shouts out to the world that you are royalty.
French twists go really well with tiaras and look very classy. Choose a style that goes along with your face shape. If you have more of an oval type face, then make sure that you do not overdo it with too many bangs and other stray hairs in your face.
If you have more of a round face, then think volume and height. You want your face to look a little bit longer and thinner.
To accomplish this, you must add some height to the top of your head to make you look a little longer. It will help lengthen your face.
If you have more of a square face, then choosing to wear it down could be very pretty. You just need to have some layers and make it wispy.
If you want to wear most of it up, then you need to add some more height on the top once again to elongate your head. And lastly, if you have more of a heart shaped face, then have your hair dresser sweep some bangs across your brow and then put it up in a beautiful French twist or wear it curled down your back.
There is a style for every shape and you just need to do your homework and find out which one works the best for you and complements your overall appearance. There will be lots of pictures taken of you on your special day and you definitely want to look your best.
A couple of other pointers that you should keep in mind are when you wear a strapless dress, you may want to wear your hair down and curled onto your naked shoulders for more of a dramatic effect. And if you have a really long flowing veil, then wearing your hair down the same way will look very beautiful with your dress and underneath the veil.
Pick out someone who will do your hair for the wedding weeks in advance so that you can book them if they get busy and lock them into place for your special day. Feel free to try out several different looks before you decide on one and make sure that you approve of the final look.
