Finding the right closet solution should not be a difficult or overwhelming task

Leave your wallet at home. Your initial trip to the store should not be to buy, it should be only to look. Ideally, you should go to a few or even several different stores to see what solutions they have for closets and the price ranges of each. Be sure to take a notebook along with you and write down what you saw, what store you saw it at, and what the price was. Your goal here is to get ideas and figure out what kind of budget you will need.
Once that initial trip to the store is over, go back home and look at your closet. Try to imagine some of the things that you saw in your closet. What closet solution best fits your closet and your needs? What will fit in your space? What is the worst issue that you need solved? What is your budget going to be for this task?
Once you have a clear idea of what you need and want in your closet, go through the list that you made and cross out anything that is either too expensive or that you know will not work in your closet.
