Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine USA - Rick Washbrook - Master Workshopes
Rick Washbrooks Piano Rag Feel song called "Honkey Tonk Butterfly" Is found on the CD in Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine USA issue #69.
The Song "Honky Tonk Butterfly" is from a Washbrook CD called "1906". All the original material composed and played on a beautiful Gibson Parlour Guitar.
Rick Washbrooks Student Alex Vanderplough owns the guitar and dropped it off at his house in the winter of 1905.
Rick Washbrook could not believe the beautiful robust sound that would fly out of this Gibson Guitar.
Rick Washbrook decided it was such an honour to have this instrument around the house. Rick Washbrook decided he would compose original works for this Parlour Gibson Guitar, and celebrate it's birthday in 1906, when the guitar will be 100 years old.
Bill Piburn from Nashville editor of Fingerstyle Guitar heard the "1906" CD
including the track "Honkey Tonk Butterfly" and was knocked out.
Bill Piburn wanted to use the track "Honky Tonk Butterfly" in the Master
Workshops section of the Fingerstyle Magazine issue # 69.
Rick Washbrook has taught and performed twice at the Chet Atkins
Appreciation Society (CAAS) in Nashville . On both occasions he
got to chat with John Knowles and Bill Piburn a lot.
"Your one of the family now Rick Washbrook"
John Knowles
"Rick Wasbrook plays with great passion and his love of the guitar is
without doubt behind each note"
Bill Piburn, guitarist and editor of Fingerstyle Magazine, USA
