Cheating on your wife can have serious consequences. One way of trying to work things out and save your marriage after you've cheated on your wife is to start dating your wife again. It's more like an opportunity to go back and try to start over again. If you both leave all the old baggage behind and truly start over this can be an excellent choice for the sake of your marriage. Keep these tips in mind as you go back in time and go on your first date with your wife after cheating.
1) Really start over. Don't just pay lip service to the idea of starting over and don't try to pick up where things left off. If you'll recall, where things left off didn't look too good for the sake of your future as husband and wife. Start over from the beginning and get to know one another all over again. You might even be surprised to learn some new things about each other that you didn't know or had really forgotten.
2) Be attentive to your wife. Your wife is feeling more than a little insecure about your relationship and her value to you as a result of your cheating. It's an unintended consequence of cheating that can have a devastating effect on some women. It is your job to make your wife feel as comfortable, confident, and beautiful as possible. Tell her she's beautiful and let her know why you find her so attractive. Make her feel comfortable in your presence and with the idea of dating you all over again.
3) Go somewhere that is neutral for both of you. This is not the time to go to the same places you've gone together time and again before. Strike out a new path for the future of your marriage and go somewhere completely unknown to both of you. This way there is no history in the building to contend with.
4) Go on a date that allows you the chance to talk. Movies aren't a good plan for this important first date. You need dinner and walking and talking. These things are good for the soul. Movies allow you to be in the presence of each other but really aren't big opportunities for great first dates because they prevent you from having important conversations and learning more about each other. Save those dates for later when you are more comfortable being together and with the idea of dating again.
