First Meet With Riya

I have never thought that I would have a love marriage

. But as they say the only constant thing in this world is change. Right from my college days I liked to flirt with girls but I never thought I would be lucky enough to tie the knot with a girl whom I loved. In India majority of marriages are arranged and only few are love. But slowly the attitude is changing and parents agreeing with their childrens choice for marriage.

Since I came from a middle class family I never thought that my family would accept my decision of marrying a girl out of the caste. It took a great deal of effort from my siblings also as they were the one who fought for me. I realized it later that even they were on the same track and if anyone is allowed in the family then everyone will be allowed. I met Riya in Thane in a party at Hotel United-21. I was there for a dinner party hosted by my friend who was to get married very soon. Riya is her wifes friend. There were just four of us and being best friends of each other they wanted us to meet each other.

I could say it was love at first sight. She knew that I was completely interested in her. There was a mini heart attack when my friends wife mentioned about a guy who Riya was dating. It was later when she mentioned that they had broken up lately since it was not working well with them. I thought of asking her out for a date and I literally did. She was surprised and so were my friend and his wife. It was only after friend forced her she agreed to it. When we finished our dining, we didnt receive any bill. Riya was an employee of Panoramic Universal Ltd., and since the hotel was managed by PUL the bill was settled internally by her. It was a surprise for all of us but I was sure about making a right move.
