First impressions of the newly minted beta TweetDeck

How(and virtually everyone there) already reported

, TweetDeck beta Android is now available for download from your enjoyment. This version(0.9.1) is slightly different than version 0.9, which was leaked yesterday, so if youve already downloaded 0.9, you can uninstall and go to TweetDeck blog and install a newer version.

Most of us can use TweetDeck and I think everybody wants this ambitious proposal to succeed. Thus is in no way a formal review, as TweetDeck is still in beta, but rather serves as an indicator of what I think TweetDeck is doing well and some, how they can improve. The ultimate goal is to share this information with TweetDeck, to ensure that they deliver an amazing use of all of us a long time in the hope they come up with

What works well TweetDeck

good news about TweetDeck Android is that it has a lot of things and the right of the gate. For starters, the initial assumption accounts for Android TweetDeck is very simple, especially if you have already created an account on the computer TweetDeck. Just log into your account TweetDeck and Twitter, Facebook, Google, Buzz and logins Foursquare will automatically fill in all the minute(mine took about 15 seconds).

Although there are many things you do not like the mainstream(and we are that later), the idea is able to manage Facebook, Twitter, Buzz, social, and Foursquare channels in a stream is an intriguing concept and one I think many(though certainly not all) will be very happy. Initially, I think its a very good thing, as I often want to be really paying attention to Twitter and ignoring my friends, who have not yet assumed tweeting. The disadvantage of single-stream feature is that it has the potential to have a terrible mess of feed, especially for those of you with many friends.

The overall interface is very nice(in my opinion), though incorrect in the text size. I enjoy the white text on a gray background and the ability to swipe between the main channels and more personal. The buttons at the bottom of the screen is a little big, but not intrusive, and allows quick access to creating a new post, access your profile and latest updates, search and map features, which allows you to see nearby points for easy check-in.

Generally speaking, many functions can always hope that social media all in one application are not, with some notable exceptions and improvements that must be done before calling the application to them all the rules , which of course leads us to the next topic.

Where can improve TweetDeck

It is important to note that TweetDeck is still in beta, and they have to improve it, what theyve done so far. He said that it is our duty to help them. So heres my list of things youd like to see Android TweetDeck better. Again, please feel free to add three cents in the comments, and we will send them to TweetDeck.

Landscape mode is a must have for applications. The fact that TweetDeck does not allow for a bit surprising to me, although perhaps explains the improvement #2 Smaller Text This is more than a little strange that social media application is running, which can not accommodate more than 3 or 4 updates on your screen at any given time. This problem will be the most frustrating one, as do managing the timeline more difficult. I was in meetings for a half hour today, and he was incredibly frustrated trying to scroll through 200 or so just watching three updates at once. This amendment should be a priority in the lists TweetDeck. Lack of ability to adapt While Im quite happy with the overall look, I know that many of you want to be able to customize the user interface to the content of the heart. By adding the ability to change the background color and text to personal experience TweetDeck would be a welcome add to the application. The complete lack of setup The application does not allow you to change the settings to your preferences. Indeed, no settings category entirely. You can not change the frequency of reporting or anything else you want to do. That is all to set designers and set it in, which is not very user friendly. You can not change what feeds you want to see / Add or Remove Columns. This is a great advantage of the client PC. Just add what you want and what you want, ensuring fully own social media experiences. For whatever reason, is lacking in the Android application. UPDATE: This actually is in beta. Just go for what you want to add(#android, for example) and click the Add button to add a column to the list columns.

Final / Final Thoughts

In total, TweetDeck Android is a promising application of beta, it was right to leave us salivating for the final version. Of course, there are several errors and corrections that still need to happen, but it is the main purpose of the beta.
