The twin fitted sheets measure 99 x 190 cm or 39 x 75 inches. The X-long twin is 99 x 203 cm or 39 x 80 inches. The queen fitted sheets are 153 x 203 cm or 60 x 80 inches. The king size is 198 x 203 cm or 76 x 80 inches. The California king comes in at 182 x 213 cm or 72 x 84 inches.

The Flat Sheet Dimensions

The dimensions for the king and California king are the same at 274 x 259 cm or 108 x 102 inches. The queen flat sheet is 228 x 259 cm or 90 x 102 inches. The X-long twin flat sheet measures 167 x 259 cm or 66 x 102 inches. The twin is 167 x 243 cm or 66 x 96 inches. The full size is 205 x 243 cm or 81 x 96 inches.

Why is Thread Count so Important?

The thread count denotes the fabric quality that is found in the sheets. The thread count is determined by the number of threads present per square inch.

The general rule is that a high thread counts translates into a higher quality fabric. This also makes the fabric softer. However, the thread used can also affect the quality of the full sheets. However, this isn't always the case.

The best sheets are those with 500 and higher thread counts. Those with 300 to 400 threads counts are preferred by many because it is soft yet have become very affordable. Sheets with a thread count between 200 and 280 thread counts are also quite good. But anything less than 200 is too tough.
