? Sometimes it does seem as if dating is getting more and more complicated. Don't give up hope! Here are a few tips on dating for women.

1. Do not be so eager to place.

Whether this means depriving him of sex too early, or not letting him get his way all the time, you have to take a step back and ask if your willingness to please is coming across as too needy. Men do not respond well to neediness. It makes them feel "trapped."

2. Do not try to control a man.

Women who make the mistake of becoming controlling are pushing their man away, possibly into breakup territory. Nobody likes rules, particularly men who are afraid of commitment. When dating women, men want fun, freedom and lots of excitement. Instead of focusing on how to control your man, instead do what makes you happy. Soon enough, he will be trying to tie you down in a relationship!

3. Behave like a lover, not a mother.

The last thing a guy wants is to marry his mother. Study the behavior of his mother (or mothers in general) and try to avoid going into that creepy territory. Treat your man like an equal. Don't baby him. Don't be too nice. Don't force him to conform to a happy family if that's not what he wants. Avoiding the mother and be the loverthis will always bring an edge to the relationship. This is an important lesson to learn in dating for women.

4. Do not submit to his authority.

Forget all that talk of a good submissive wife and a perfect housekeeper. Men don't want that! This is an antiquated notion. By trying so hard to be Ms. Perfect, you are actually convincing him that you are a complete bore. Don't always agree with what he says. Speak your mind. Tease him a little. It endears you to him. Dating for women and men should be fun, not an obligation.

5. Be independent.

Sometimes this means paying for your own meals, sometimes it means having your own job. The point is, you are not depending on him for anything. You are in the relationship because you both mutually enjoy each other's company. Whenever that dynamic ends, he becomes your superior. It changes him and it changes you.
