Or you can do the same thing but with your hips and your knees bend and your feet on your chair. These are ways to rest our back. Stay in any of these positions for at least 5 to 20 minutes. You cannot right away notice the result and may need 2 or more days of this rest.


2.) Stretching can also be done to relieve back pain. In doing stretches, remember to not force the body to do difficult positions, avoid bouncing as it may tear muscles, hold stretches for at least 20 to 30 seconds until the muscles or joints become loose and repeat the stretch 5 to 10 times. If you do stretches at least some minutes in the morning and at night can provide a significant relief to our aching back over time.

3.) Yoga is also a good option. It creates balance in the body through different poses executed, which develop flexibility and strength. Normally, one will notice significant reduction in pain intensity after 16 weeks of doing Yoga.

4.) Another way to relieve back pain is the use of breathing techniques. The technique integrates body awareness, breathing movement and meditation. One study showed that after 6 to 8 weeks sessions, patients improved significantly and almost don't experience pain. What's great about this technique is that you can do it yourself at home without spending for anything.

5.) You can also resolve to use heating pads. The pads will help relax painful muscle spasms. Place heating pads in the affected area 20 to 30 minutes at a time.

Now if you have been suffering from ongoing back problems for quite some time not, you should figure out the cause and from there, you can then apply proper action for it. It could be that you need to lose weight as being obese can worsen the back pain; you might need to get your muscles to be in better shape or that you need to improve your posture when standing, sitting or sleeping.
