Even with WiMax, there are spots too remote in the States to receive service, and if cable and DSL are your only options, a whole lot of rural communities just cant get online. But with satellite internet, you can be somewhere extremely far away from just about anything, be it the bottom of a canyon or the top of a mountain, and service is still possible. You could even be living in a houseboat or out to sea and be able to get online with satellite.

3. Youre online instantly. Unlike with joining networks or always having to log in, satellite internet configures automatically, meaning that once it is set up once, you arent going to have to fuss with it again. This is especially helpful for those who are a little new to technology and dont want to have to set things up over and over again.

4. A lot of accessories arent needed. Instead of wires stretching all over your home, modems and routers taking up desk space, and a general cluttered feel that often comes with inviting technology into your home, satellite internet requires one piece of equipment: a dish. And since the dish usually goes outside, somewhere of your choosing, it is possible to say that going satellite wont add a single thing to dust to your entire home.

5. Sharing is easy. Without needing to get a router for Wi-Fi networking, those who go with satellite can have multiple users online at the same time in the house, without having to set anything up. This is especially great for anyone who is used to using dial-up, where you actually have to keep logging on and logging off of the internet when users are switching accounts.
