Five Symptoms Of Being A True-blue Skilled Seo Specialist
Enough of the thing about page rankings and keywords and backlinks
. Now any schmuck who can define these terms can call himself a skilled SEO specialist.
But if you felt that youve got the hang of the thing for real, maybe youre not one of those self-declared bogus who do the thing for the love of money. You might be amused to take this rain check. If you can totally relate with the following symptoms, then probably you are one of those rare person who got the gift of being a true-to-nature SEO:
1.You strongly feel about Matt Cutts
Either you go gaga over his genius, or blatantly call him a no-good bugbear. Whichever way, you know hes the kingpin in the searchlandia. You know hes the pontiff of all algorithms. So you follow his tweets and wait for any changes he might broadcast. You like it or you dont, but your fate is intertwined with the career of this big wig.
2.You heard panda and penguin and dont think about cuddly furballs
And organic is not a term from chemistry class. And youll panic at a 0.7% change on results of English queries on Google. But thats another story. We know, of all animal species existing in the World Wide Web, you passionately hate these penguin and panda. They pestered your links and tossed off your site from the first page. But hey, whatever pressured you to produce good content. (Note: This paragraph is intended only for true SEOs. If it doesnt make any sense to you, then stop reading this article and swot magazines instead.)
3.You read web pages in a different way
When you look at blogs and posts, you take note of the keyword density, article length, page titles and heck, even the alt tags of each picture. Typical of a skilled SEO, youre a specialist on demystifying what makes the page get the top spot for the keyword you punched in. The weird thing about this habit is that after you shut down your comp (if ever you still turn it off), you can hardly remember what the content is about, or why you have typed in the search terms in the first place.
4.You dont just socialize in Facebook and Twitter, you build links
Who said that youre taking a breather when they see you online in Facebook? Of course, its part of the game! You dont just bond with your friends. They didnt know that youre also getting precious link juices through them. But of course, you set a clear boundary when it comes to genuine connections through friendship from plain bloodsucking. You make sure that you also give link juices to others. You post only the canny stuff. You make sure that your comments are relevant and sensible. You never settle for the spine-tingling mechanical gibberish just for the sake of links and keywords- because, content is always king (or isnt it?).
5.Youre obsessed with everything about Google
Obsessed is actually an understatement. Its more that you build your world around this geeky search engine more than you build your world around your girlfriend. Not that youre a gay, but youll go frantic over meeting Larry Page in person. You get excited when you see a doodle on the homepage of your favorite search engine. The best color combination in the world is blue-red-yellow-blue-green-red. Got that? Haha! Welcome to the circle, brood.
