Five Top Tips For A Successful Christmas Party Mash Up

Christmas has sprung up on us and it is time to once again step out into the cold with your work colleagues for the Christmas party

. Will it be you that is the talk of the office for the whole of the coming year? If you are sat there thinking yes, then we strongly suggest you read our top five Christmas Party Rules.

Don't mix your drinks

Its quite easy for us to write this but we know that in reality it is easier to write than to actually implement but we had to start somewhere. Seeing as though to much drink is the single biggest cause for embarrassment we are suggesting you drink sensibly as if we said don't drink you would have stopped reading straight away. Since you are going to drink do yourself a favour. Decide on a drink and stick to it. At least this way you can still have a good time and the hangover might not be so bad the next day.

Stay well clear of the boss

All of our suggestions are easier said than done we realise this but we have got to write something so our next top tip is to stay away from the boss. You may be asking yourself why we are saying this. It's not because he or she is a particularly bad person it simply because after copious amounts of alcohol you may say something you regret later. It may not be the boss who reminds you of this but your colleagues certainly will so stay away.

Pre book your taxi

Pre book your taxi so that you know when your night is over. Most of the really bad stuff happens late on. Remember this. If you aren't there then you can't embarrass yourself. We are not asking you to go home before the party ends but, let's be sensible and pick a reasonable hour. If nothing else you will gain some brownie points at home if you are back at a reasonable hour.

Avoid the Camera Flasher

Pictures have a nasty habit of reminding you and other people of unfortunate events. Every office has that person who never fails to take a camera out with them and who insists of snapping absolutely everything. If you can stop yourself from smashing the camera into pieces we suggest staying away from that person. Avoid the photocopier

If you are one of those companies who have an in house Christmas Party then avoid the photocopier at all costs. We know at the time it will seem like a really good idea to photocopy your bits and put them in the pigeon holes of each and every employee but trust us come January that idea will quite rapidly seem like the worst decision ever.

Follow our top tips and you won't go far wrong and will be able to hold your head up when you are all back in work come January.
