Five Ways To Perform Tedious And Repetitive Tasks When Working At Home

One of the problems in the initial phases of establishing a business at home is the

need to constantly accomplish tasks that, for most of us, are tedious and repetitive.

So, here are 5 habits to help make these initial days a little less tedious:

1. Be aware of Why You Are Attempting This

If you know exactly what you would like to achieve from owning your own business, vs a job, you can remind yourself of this whenever the going gets hard. The more exact you are the better. Do not just say I want to make loads of money. Clarify exactly how much you plan to make on an twelve-monthly basis and then spend some time considering the reason why you picked that amount.

Pay particular attention to precisely what you are wanting to establish in the future which you could do or have in some manner today. Then do not wait. Do it right now.

2. Don't Keep Giving Yourself Unhelpful Communication

Don't keep on telling yourself how "boring" it is - or whatever your individual whinge is. Do not talk around it, either to other people or inside your head. Just get on with it.

The brain is a magnificent biocomputer. It sends us energy when we send it anything inspiring and it slows us down when we feed it something unconstructive or downbeat.

The important bit to understand is that we are the ones who are conveying the data to the computer. Life itself doesn't send the brain anything at all. Only we do, by exactly how we construe what life offers and the story we tell ourselves about it. One example is we might say "These tasks are uninteresting and monotonous and I don't want to do them" or we could say "This procedure is a vital stage along the road that is bringing me more rapidly to what I desire and it will not always be like this". Each are interpretations and stories. However, one gives us energy and enthusiasm and the other irritation and fatigue.

3. Break Up Your Work Into Easily managed Chunks

Do not work on any task for more than 45 minutes. And break up the projects with something that needs you to move your body and step away from the computer.

4. Celebrate Your Wins

Instead of focussing on what still remains to be done make a record of what you have done. For example, in my web marketing business, I've found it motivating to put a chart on my office wall that I color in each time I create another article. I also have one for total articles submitted. Observing the totals increase demonstrates to me that I am achieving something, even though the anticipated results of my work, in relation to visitor numbers, rankings etc. have still to appear, and this makes me remain motivated.

5. Take on Something Different

During the time your day by day work remains at the stage of tedious and repetitive it's worth creating the time to take on something different. This might or may not be related to work. But, Dont do this, until you've finished your key work actions.

Research shows that the brain actually adds physical capacity (much like the way an exercised limb increases power) when you gain knowledge of something new. It doesn't just add the information, it increases "learning strength" via dendrite growth in the physical brain structure that can really be measured.

If you learn a new foreign language, or a musical instrument, for example, your brain literally grows cleverer and more proficient at fixing problems. Hence keep your brain healthy by balancing out the monotony with something innovative and stimulating.

Whatever you pick to do, theres no getting away from the need to learn discipline and keep on repeating the critical activities each day, if you choose to make a winner of your home-based business. Hopefully the five suggestions above will make your hard work a bit less demanding so, sooner than you think, you are able to outsource this work and spend more time doing the projects which are the most rewarding for you.
