Five of the most popular hair removal options

Sadly, the vast majority of us have hair growing somewhere we'd rather it didn't

. It's a fact of life. The only thing to do is get use to it or get rid of it when it arrives.

The latter is often the preferred option, but which is the preferred method for doing so? Here are five popular methods of hair removal.

1. If you're dealing with the odd rogue hair, either causing you discomfort or distress, then one of the most effective and quickest methods is to use tweezers. I wouldn't advise using it anywhere that has dense patches of hair, though!

2. One of the quickest and easiest ways of removing hair is by using a razor. However, it only removes the hair that is on the surface of the skin, which means it can grow back much quicker and coarser.

3. An electric shaver is another fast method of hair removal, but again its results aren't as thorough as some other techniques. It will really only remove the visible hair, so you may still feel it or it will grow back fast.

4. Waxing is one of the most popular hair removal techniques and can be done either at home by yourself or by a beautician at a salon. It involves hot wax being applied to the patch of hair and removed quickly. While it is extremely effective, it does come with a little pain (or a lot for some) and is not always appreciated on those more sensitive parts of the body.

5. Another extremely effective method is laser hair removal, which has enjoyed a significant rise in popularity in recent years. Targeting only the hair follicles, and unlike electrolysis, laser hair removal does not damage skin cells. Plus, the results are almost permanent, particularly after a few sessions.

Could laser hair removal be right for you? If so, it could be time to look for a salon in your area to make an appointment.
