-Coveringmaterial

-Metaltubingor2X8stock

-MetalU-frameorpoststock

-Shovel,level,tapemeasure,hammer,pencil/paper,metaldrill,staplegunandwood.

StepOne:

First,asolidfoundationmustbeconstructedfortheseesaw.Theareaofgroundshouldbeleveledabout20x20andtwoholesshouldbeduginthecenterwhichshouldbeatleastsixfeetdeepandonefootwide.Thetubesshouldbesetintotheholes.Thepeakofthetubeshouldbekeptabout3belowtheground.Nowtheanchorhastobeconnectedtoallowperpendicularsupports.

StepTwo:

Nowwhenthefoundationshavebeenfinished,itistimetobuildtheposts.Thisindoorplaygroundequipmentrequiresone-piecemetalU-postsystemorsimplytwoverticalpostsjoinedbyametalpipewhichshouldbeboltedontheendstoawoodenofsteelpostsystem.Thepostsshouldbeattachedtothefoundation.Whenthepostshavebeenattached,theconcrete,sandandwatermixshouldbepouredintotheholesandaroundtheposts.Ithastobemadesurethatthepostsareexactlyonrightanglestothesurface.Theconcreteshouldbegiven24hourstosetbeforeattachingthepoststothefoundation.

StepThree:

Nowthelengthoftheleverhastobedecided.Woodormetalcanbeusedbuttheleverneedstobewrappedwithpaddingandifwoodisselected,ametalstriphastobefastenedtothebaseofthestocktoprovidefirmness.Nowtheholeshavetobeboredfortheseatonbothends.

StepFour:

Thissteprequiresthehandlestobeplacedbydrillingaholeinthelevelarmaboutthesizeof18-24fromtheendofthelever.Anotherholehastobedrilledina1x2pieceofstock.Theverticalbeamhastobenowattachedintotheparallelleverandthenthecrosspiecehastobeaddedtotheuprightbeamasahandle.Atthebothsidesofthiscommercialplaygroundequipment,apieceoffoamcoveredwithleathershouldbeattachedleathertoserveasseats.

StepFive:

Lastly,thesharpedgesoffoundation,lever,handlesetcshouldbesandeddown.Nowtheseesawcanbepaintedusingnon-leadbasedpaint.
