Fix Your Golf Body Sway

Swaying is a big problem for many golfers

Swaying is a big problem for many golfers. So exactly what do we mean by this? Swaying is when the hips move away from the target. When we do this, it creates a lot of problems, making it harder to control direction and generate power in our shots. So why do we do this? We do it because we feel like we are shifting our body weight and creating power. Just another case of the game of golf playing with our minds. We fool ourselves into thinking we are creating power by the feeling of moving towards the ball at impact.

Usually when a golfer sways, a couple of things happen in their backswing. The right knee often straightens at the top of the backswing with best golf clubs. Also, the weight moves too far to the right and it is often on the outside part of the right foot. This can cause a golfer to lose balance and will also result in a lower of power and consistency.

To fix your sway, first it is imperative to get into a good setup position with good angles. The knees should be bent so the shoelaces are covered up and the hips should also be bent with the arms hanging down and extended. Once a golfer gets into a good setup, they can then start to make a proper turn and shift their weight as they swing the club back. The weight shift should follow the turn. Simply shifting your weight on the backswing without turning can cause this sway problem in the golf swing.

A common mistake golfers make is the transfer too much weight to the back foot when executing the back swing. Other golfers would even transfer all of their weight! This is a big no-no in golf because this would just prevent you from transferring your weight back to your forward foot. And you actually have to do this by the time your r11 combo set hit the ball! If you are unable to do this, then this would result to what is known as an open clubface. The next thing you know, you would actually be spinning out.


Halfway on the back sway, the club should be in a vertical position as the toe points upwards. Its shaft should be pointing towards the ball making the club to be in the proper lane. To master the position, the player should redo it several times holding the club for some moments before trying it again. For the opposite direction, the rod should point at the target. In this position, the right shoulders are supposed to move below the chin (for the left handed people) while the arm is kept straight. If the club face is facing or pointing at the target in a vertical position, then the person is on a down position.

To add more to these positions and perfect the entire shot with r11 irons for sale, the finishing stance must be strictly checked. This is what creates or improves a person's consistency and accuracy. The finishing stance should be accompanied with a lot of balance from the base. Other things like where the elbows are at this time should also be looked at. For better results, they should be at the same angle.
