So, you have gotten you iphone wet and now you don't know how to fix it. I will give you a few simple tips on how to possibly get it up and running again.

First thing, what ever you do, DO NOT TURN IT ON. Do not try to plug it in. These are very important because you could damage the phone even worse or even electrocute yourself. You will need to dry it our with a hairdryer set on a the lowest heat setting. This can take a while, but afterwards your phone might just turn on by itself.

If this does not work, you can try drying it out further. You will need either rice or something similar that can absorb moisture. You will want to place a paper towel on top of the rice and let your phone sit there for a few days. When you phone dries out completely it should turn on all by itself. It your phone doesn't automatically turn on, chances are another component inside the phone is broken.

Now this is the point where you will need to make an important decision. You are going to need to open the iphone case, and this will void the warranty. So, you can open the case and void the warranty or you can take the phone to the dealer and pay their huge fee to have it repaired.

You will need a very small screwdriver kit for this next part. You must loosen the screws on the iphone. After you have done this you will be able to take it apart. Once it is apart you will need to place the front and back of the phone back into the container of rice. This will let it continue to dry. After a couple of days it should be totally dry and you should be able to turn it on. If it does not turn on try giving it a few more days in the rice. Sometimes water can get stuck in some of the very tiny electronic components. You have to be patient and if your lucky your phone will work again. If you phone still does not work, you should get a good repair guide to help you figure out what part is broken.
