Tanzania is situated with East Africa region with its Capital in Dodoma and Dare salaam as its administrative town. It is one of the five states which forms the East Africa Community and the headquarters of the Community is based in Arusha.

Tanzania has four major International airports like Daresaalam International, Kilimanjaro International, Zanzibar and Mwanza airport. There are other airstrips that serve major cities, national parks and game reserves. There are only International Airports that operates 24 hours namely, Daresaalam International Airport, Kilimanjaro International and Zanzibar. There have only been flights out of Kilimanjaro, Arusha and Zanzibar to the national parks and game reserves but due to high demand from the consumers domestic flights will be introduced out of Daresalaam, Iringa, Mbeya, Pemba, Ruaha, and Selous to major cities, national parks and game reserves effective from June 2011.

The timetable will be as follows, Arusha to Iringa,Mbeya,Ruaha,Zanzibar,Daresaalam,Pemba,Selous every Sunday,Tuesday,Thursday departure Arusha at 1300 hrs.Daresaalam to Zanzibar ,Iringa,Mbeya,Ruaha,Selous,Zanzibar ,Arusha,Pemba ,Zanzibar operating on Monday,Tue,Wed ,Thusday,Friday,Saturday.Iringa to Mbeya,Arusha,Daresaalam,Zanzibaroperating Monday,Wednesday,Friday.Mbeya to Arusha,Iringa,Daresaalam,Zanzibar operating on Monday,Wednesday,Friday.Pemba to Zanzibar,Daresaalam ,Arusha operating on daily.Ruaha to Selous,Zanzibar,Daresaalam,Pemba operating on Monday,Tuesday,Thursday and Saturdays.Selous to Daresaalam,Pemba,Zanzibar,Arusha,Zanzibar operating on Monday,Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday. Zanzibar to Iringa,Mbeya,Daresaalam,Ruaha,Selous,Arusha,Pemba operating on Monday,Tuesday,WednesdayThursday ,Friday and Saturday. There will be two services morning and afternoon from Daresaalam to Zanzibar,Selous,Iringa to Arusha,Daresaalam,Zanzibar,Pemba to Zanzibar,Daresaalam, Pemba to Arusha,Selous to Daresaalam,Pemba, Zanzibar,Arusha,DAresaalam,Zanzibar,Zanzibar to Selous,Daresaalam,Pemba.Please note Selous airstrip will serve the following hotels,Siwandu,Mtemere,Kiba,Stieglers,Behobeho,Matambwe and flights to ,Sumbazi,Kinyanguru airstrips will require minimum 2 seats if not you pay for two seats to enable us drop you in those airstrips.

Reservations has to be done on phone email so ascertain seat availability before making the bookings and subject will be availability of seat/s or flight on the dates you want to reserve. This timetable is subject to change and the fares can be changed without notice due to high operational costs. When your schedule is unable to meet the scheduled service schedule then private charter flights are available in Mwanza, Musoma, Daresalaam, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro and Arusha.Hotels chains have extended their wings in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Kigali, Burundi providing exclusive properties, lodges tented camps and mobile camping within the national parks and game reserves. Air charter companies is Tanzania have segmented their services as follows, Scenic charter flights, Helicopter charter flights, private charter flights, business jet charter flights, air ambulance & emergency evacuation charter flights, scheduled flights, filming charter flights, aerial survey and photography charter flights are tourists can choose from the above. Tour operators and travel agent do provide packages to different destination working with the hotel chains, transporters and air operators to be able to come up with affordable air and road packages. There are train services from Daresaalam to Iringa, Mbeya, Mtwara, Ngara and Dodoma to budget travelers who can't afford air transport to these remote areas.

While in the national parks and game reserves the tourists will see mammals,birds,reptiles,flowers,trees and insect and below find description of some of the mammals found in the national parks, while on tourists scheduled flights or tourists charter flights in Tanzania,

Wildebeest

A large antelope with forequarters higher than hindquarters giving the appearance of a pronounced slope' from front to rear.Greyish in colour with a long mane of black hair on the neck and shoulders and along beard of hair on the neck and throat, the coloration of the beard varies greatly from almost pure white to black. The neck, shoulders and, to a lesser extent, the flanks show dark vertical stripes. The head is large and broad with a completely black face. The horns are present in both sexes, measuring between 40-73cm in length and from a flat base curve outwards, downward then upward, not dissimilar in shape to those of the Cape buffalo. The black bushy-tipped tail is extremely long almost touching the ground.

An extremely common antelope of open grassland and lightly wooded regions where it gathers in enormous herds during its annual migration in a continual search for fresh grazing .This circular, seasonal migration from the southern Serengeti to the Maasai Mara and back covers a distance in of 800kilometres and at times columns of animals stretch for 40 kilometres.They eat mainly grass and are water dependent drinking twice a day if possible. They are active throughout the day usually attempting to rest or seek shade during the hot midday period. The females synchronize their calving with 80% of young being born during a three-week period usually towards the beginning of the rainy season (Feb to March) .To avoid predation the females and newborn need to remain mobile and to this end the calves are on their feet within 3-7 minutes of birth. This synchronized calving produces an abundance of food for predators, but over a short period, thereby ensuring the survival of the majority.

Black Rhinoceros

A relic of prehistoric times the rhinoceros is almost unmistakeable.The Black Rhino is distinguished from the slightly larger White Rhino, by the narrow mouth and prehensile upper lip. The head is large and carries two horns ,the larger front horn measuring on average 60cm although individuals with a front horn over twice the length have been recorded. The ears are oval and tipped with tufts of dark hair. The eyes are small and the eyesight poor, but the senses of smell and hearing are very acute. The huge body is covered with a thick hide of grey skin, although due to the rhino's predilection for wallowing in mud, their coloration can appear very variable. The tail is short and tipped with stiff hairs. Inspite of their bulk the Black Rhino is very maneuverable of a top speed of 50 km/h.

The distribution of this species has been much reduced in the past 25 years as a result of increased poaching. They favour areas of dry bushy savannah and lightly wooded regions. In most areas they survive by browsing leaves and shoots from bushes and trees, although the population inhabiting the Ngorongoro Crater grazes regularly due to the lack of suitable browse. They feed mainly in the early morning period. Although they are capable of surviving for several days without water, they will drink and wallow daily when possible, often travelling many kilometers to an available source. During periods of drought they will often dig for water in dried up river beds by use of their forelegs. Rhinos are solitary animals although females are usually accompanied by their most recent offspring.
