Florida is located in the most Southern East part of America and shares borders with Alabama and Georgia. The Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean are divided by the Florida peninsula,
Florida is the fourth most popular state in America and there is no wonder why. Boasting of 82.4 million visitors each year there is no shortage of things to do.
Whether you go to Florida for chilling out and relaxing on one of the many high ranking beaches that are visited all year round for their glittering white sands and the clear ocean waters that run through the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic ocean.
With beautiful names like Coca Beach and the infamous Daytona Beach, there is little wonder it is called The Sunshine State with sub tropical temperatures in the North to totally tropical weather in the South who wouldnt want to be there?
Many people will take a fly drive holiday to this part of the World but not only for the theme parks and exhilarating rides that are available in these famous parks, it goes way beyond all of that willing and able to offer so much more.
Golf is a major attraction in Florida and it boasts of having in excess of 1300 golf courses throughout its 170,304 square Km landscape. Starting as high up in the North as Panama City Beach the courses stretch right to the bottom of the peninsula to include names like Fort Lauderdale Beach and the iconic Miami.
Most Golfers will enjoy the 40 minute traveling time between Fort Lauderdale Beach and Miami Beach and upon doing so will enjoy the most famous shops, regarded restaurants and beautiful scenery, whilst taking advantage of the many more golf clubs that can be found up and down the south east coast.
With Florida having the well earned nick name of The Sunshine State it means that it can get hot but when drawing into the winter months means that this is the perfect time of year for a well earned round of golf what ever the time.
Tee Time means something different to most people, but in the Golfing world it means its time to hit the fairway and after an arduous round most competitors will aim to see each other on the more rewarding 18th Hole, before enjoying one the high regarded restaurants or a spot of shopping.
After relaxing for a couple of days on the beach or playing a few rounds of golf there is also adventure. Why not go and take a journey through the Everglades or go to one of the many events and festivals that are all so ever present.
The Everglades is Americas only sub-tropical wilderness. It has claimed this accolade due to the way the ocean currents run, the hot southern climate and its prime location. It is an attraction for people who possess an adventurous spirit and loves the outdoors. Kayaking, air boat tours and canoeing are but a few of the activities that are available.
If thats not for you the events and festivals that are available throughout the year are bar none. If champagne and jazz are more your desire then the champagne night, jazz nights and cultural workshops are available whatever the day or time.
