Flos 265

Flos, the global name brand in designer lighting solution for residential as well as commercial units, was established in 1962 in Merano, Italy

. The very first product from them was developed in the concept of a cocoon imported from USA. It received several appreciations and accolades by industry enthusiasts which lead the founder Castiglino brothers, Achille Castiglioni, Giacomo Castiglioni and Tobia Scarpa; to march straight towards fulfilling the greater needs for designer lighting solutions across regions. Since then Flos piloted a revolutionary move to grow and to adopt a great marketing strategy whereby artistic creativity is merged with technology and science to simplify the life.

The making

It extended its operation beyond the form and format to use of different quality of lighting effects. Think of Flos 265, a ceiling and wall mounted lighting device. It is designed for consumer use in residential unit which is the improvised and adopted version of different architectural spot lights in commercial unit. Flos 265 is designed to provide direct light and has few main body parts made from cast iron, steel and brass. The painted steel works as the design lighting fixture to the wall while the cast iron part is used for counter balance the weight and the chrome plated brass part works as the reflector. It has a weight of 6 kilograms and requires 220/240 volts of power supply with 2030 millimeters of cord length.

It uses power cord supply to emit lights. Flos 265 designed by Paolo Rizzatto in 1973 is one of the many products from Flos consumer wall and ceiling lighting collection.
