Flyer printing is an important marketing tool for any business

Flyers come into their own when used as part of a coherent marketing campaign, and serve to attract the initial interest in a proposition. Clever use of design and copy can maximize the effect of the advertising flyer and is something that should not be overlooked.
With any marketing campaign, sellers need to know the audience in order to choose the most effective way of selling to them. Nightclubs and parties have used flyers for years to great effect. They use modern fonts, bright colors and effective calls to action to appeal most to their particular audience. The copy will highlight cheap drinks, headline DJs, other promotions, to entice conversion.
The same can be said for other forms of flyer marketing, like those for restaurants and other businesses. Again, the use of bright colors and images are there to draw the eye, special offers and time-limited deals will call to action, and menus will create an appetite for the products. While its important to be creative with flyer design, its also important to include pertinent information such as dates, times, special offers, contact details and anything else relevant to the proposition.
Once the color and design of the flyer is decided, the size also needs to be addressed. It needs to be large enough to be easily read and contain enough information to effectively call to action, but not too large as to be difficult to hold or fit into a post box. Cost is also a consideration when thinking about the size of the flyer. Flyer printing uses a lot of ink, so the larger the size, the more ink it uses, which increases the cost per piece.
The standard size is 81/2 x 11 inches, which seems to offer the best compromise between size, comfort and cost. Of course, like any marketing medium, feel free to mess around with size, shape and design to create the maximum impact for it. Innovative use of cut-outs, shapes and other interesting features will create more interest in the flyer, just be careful to get it exactly right. The same can be said for the finish and the stock. Flyer printing is almost predominantly glossy and smooth, but it doesnt mean it has to be that way. Using default printing options will lower the cost, but then the design and copy has to work harder to stand apart from the other flyers that are delivered each day.
Flyer printing is an excellent way of getting a message to an audience. Careful thought and planning has to be given to the flyer long before its presented to the printer, otherwise the message might not be as effective as it should be.
