Follow This Plan To Burn Fat

The rate at which a person gains weight or stores fat is different for each person

, and is determined by their genetics. From the perspective of the body, we have not evolved from being the hunter-gatherers we were thousands of years back!

During that time period, storing fat was a natural phenomenon for our body. The body was always ready to face the inevitable famine, which could occur without notice, if we were unable to find sufficient food.

A quick drop in daily calories would alert our system that a famine was going to occur, and our metabolism would adjust to use up calories more slowly. This function increased the odds of our survival.

Our bodies use the same survival tactic today, that of storing fat. If we curtail what we eat to lose weight fast, our body will go into survival mode. It will conserve fat, as during a famine. Our metabolism will get sluggish and our body will store fat to be used as fuel to live.

Limiting what we eat to lose weight fast does not work because it results in fewer calories being burnt and increased fat storage. Neither of these outcomes is preferable to someone wanting to lose weight.

In addition, to your body, fat is the preferred source of energy, therefore; you can safely assume that about 40% of the tissue you burn, in your attempts to starve yourself thin to speed up the weight loss process, will be your lean muscle mass. Muscle is considered metabolically active, as such, it can burn calories on its own, and losing muscle, while technically considered losing weight, is not a good thing for you to do, nor is the body composition created from doing such appealing.

Moreover, muscle mass makes your body look toned and trim. It is important to retain it, instead of lose it. A person weighing 165 pounds, most of which is lean muscle with little fat, will very much appear thinner and healthier than someone weighing 125 pounds, with a lot of body fat, and little lean muscle.

After a crash diet, you will be surprised to find that while you weigh less, you also look fatter than you did before the diet. You have also damaged your metabolism by training the body to store fat. Once you resume normal dietary habits, your body will actually start storing fat again.

Anyone pushing claims about diet pills will proclaim, crash diets are bad for you! Ultimately, attempting to not eat to lose weight fast will set you up to gain additional pounds. You will not lose weight over night. Any diet claiming so will only cause problems in the long-run, and should be avoided at all costs.

Losing fat cannot happen as quickly as some make you believe, but you can eat to lose fat in a healthy way. You must remain realistic with your goals, if you wish to have long term success.

A realistic diet plan, which is able to be practiced for a sustained period of time, is the only healthy way to keep off the extra fatty pounds. Make a lifestyle change that you enjoy, and that you can continue to enjoy.

Start with an exercise routine. Strength train a few days per week, and do some high intensity interval training as well. Clean up your dietary habits. Cut your calories, but only cut them enough that will allow you to lose no more than 2 lbs of fat per week. Any more than this is unhealthy!

This plan may seem too simple, but it expresses the truth. You may and probably will get frustrated with your progress, but if you retain your muscle mass while losing fat, your body composition will improve quickly and noticeably. Stick with it. You will be successful.
