Foof Chairs - Are They Really As Good As They Say?
When you think of giant bean bag chairs, Foof chairs come to mind
. These large bean bag chairs have been promoted so much that it's not surprising that they are often the first thing people think of when they think of bean bags. However, like any big purchase, it's a good idea to do your research before buying a Foof.
There are several companies that sell giant bean bag chairs now and competition tends to make for better products. Take the time to research the various types of bean bags in order to get the best one for your home.
Top quality bean bag chairs will have the best stuffing, so make sure you know what the company uses for filling. Bean bags don't actually use beans, which tend to decay and are very heavy and giant bean bags don't even use the plastic pellets which were so common a couple of decades ago. Instead, these very large bags use small bits of foam. The best filling is upholstery foam, which is very soft. Foof chairs use carpet padding foam scraps which tend to have hard bits and are not nearly as soft as upholstery grade stuffing. Before buying any bean bag, be sure to find out just what is used to fill it and only choose the best.
Other things to look for when comparing bean bags is what they are covered with. Ideally, the bean bag cover will be washable and come in a variety of textures and colors. Most bean bag companies will give you a range of options, from pebbled fabrics to softer, smoother fabrics. All covers should be removable so you can clean them easily. Since most people use their bean bag furniture a lot, it's not surprising that they get dirty from time to time. Look for stain resistant fabric for long term use.
While Foof is one of the bigger brands on the market, that doesn't necessarily make it the best. If you take a look at some of the other bean bag furniture available, you will find that there are several options that are not only well designed, but softer and more comfortable. Since the entire point of having a bean bag is to be comfortable, it is worth getting the right bag. Something that is hard and lumpy simply won't be as much fun as a chair that you can relax and sink into without feeling chunks of hard foam in your back.
Foof chairs do have some advantages, such as the range of sizes, but for overall comfort, they are not the best on the market. If you choose Foof, be aware that you will likely find those harder bits of foam in the stuffing at some point and regret not doing your research a little better.
