Foot Massage What You And Your Feet Need
Massage has been in use of mankind from as early as thousands of years ago
. It releases the body anxiety and stress by relieving the subsequent muscles of human body. It is more of an art than a therapy.
An art that is very feasible to learn yet requires equal perfection like any other. There is a whole individual field of its study. One of the most prominent parts of the massage is the foot massage which is the topic under consideration. Like I said earlier, it is very easy to learn, but like any other massage requires aesthetic approach.
You can do it anywhere, either in a busy pavement or before a meeting or in your house in your leisure time. What you need here is simply a water basin or a bath tub, oil or lotion preferably, and a towel. Following are some of the fundamental steps involved in the procedure.
Firstly, start yourself off by putting your feet in warm water for a few minutes 5-10 minutes are optimum so that the blood flow is steady while massaging your feet. Additives like scents can also produce a soothing effect during the therapy. Moreover, cleaning before massage is a very vital part of the procedure. Use oil preferably for soothing the muscles.
Sit back and relax, try to not think too much and calm yourself to the utmost mind-free state. Don't push yourself towards calmness, just go with the flow. Lying on your back is much preferred than sitting.
Massage one foot at a time. While doing so, keep the other foot covered up in a towel soaked in warm water.
Use oil or lotion for the massage too if available. Pour warm water over your hands to keep them aligned with the foot's body temperature so as you won't feel anything worth putting your attraction towards.
Warm up your foot by doing some basic exercises like gently stretching your feet up and down and ar ound in a circular manner. Give support to your heels by one hand and use other for moving the foot at ankle joint.
Place the foot back down onto some supportive platform.
Squeeze your feet using both hands. Remember to focus on one foot at a time.
Now, after that start giving your feet a twist in opposite directions using a bottom to up approach.
After this warm up, start stroking your feet using your fingers. Keep doing this for a while.
Now come towards toes, using circular movements of your hand gently massage them in a rhythmic manner.
Continue with the toes by clasping both hands' fingers in a periodic fashion. Fill in the inter spaces between the fingers of your feet.
Set your attention to the bottom of your feet now. Using your thumbs only, make circular rhythmic motions, massaging up and down the whole pave.
Keep your feet in slight gentle motions preferably.
After the massage, clean your feet up to avoid slipping and preferably wear socks to let the moisture absorb up.
