Football has been around for hundreds of years with records dating back as far as the 8th century and the game have flourished from then onwards.

It was only in the later stages of the 12th centaury that the game of football became established in London and in 1175 an annual competition was organised for every Shrove Tuesday and this lead to the game becoming more recognised and thus gained further popularity.

Football has jumped forward and been completely revolutionised since then and today is a much loved and closely followed sport around the globe. Many countries drop everything and change their entire routines during the global events such as the World Cup finals.

A few years ago, as technology evolved and the Internet started to appear in households it's now possible to have some connection with this great sport.
