Footballguys Players Championship will crown a Champion this week!

Ryan Strickler Still Leads The FPC

How do you turn $350 into $100,000? Someone is going to show us how to do it

this week. This is it, folks, it's the final week in the FootballGuys

Players Championship. It is shaping up to be a true two horse race with week

15 leader Ryan Strickler and his team, Icemen, holding a 5.83 point lead

over STUDENTBODYLEFT, owned by Michael Disanto. They are both more than 30

points ahead of other teams, so one of those two teams is likely to take

down the inaugural FPC title. However, in fantasy football, anything can and

often will happen. Any one of these top teams can post a 220 at any time, so

watch out for those teams even into the teens making a late run. Strickler

actually has a 2nd team in 5th overall, which is excellent. David Hubbard

has a team in 4th and in 7th, also. But only one team takes down the

$100,000 and custom TitleCraft trophy. If I were Ryan or Michael, I would be

a nervous wreck this whole week. Sleep well, fellas, it will all be over

soon!

Here are our top 50 teams after week 15. These 50 teams represent the top 3%

The FFPC Playoff Challenge

For any of you that are new to the FFPC format, we always have this fun

little contest after the NFL regular season called the FFPC Playoff

Challenege. The funny thing is, it isn't such a little contest anymore, but

it still is plenty of fun! In last year's playoff challenge, the FFPC had

192 teams pay $200 each to select a single full starting team of players.

Each owner can select 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 2 Flex (RB, WR, or TE), 1 TE, 1 K,

and 1 D. However, you can only pick one player/defense from each NFL team.

So 10 NFL teams must be represented. And the Super Bowl players get double

points for that game only. Sounds simple, right? Well, it is. And it isn't.

There are all sorts of crazy combos and once you add in the flex options,

you can really go wild. It is fun contest and worth a shot, if nothing more

for the shot at this....

1st - $12,500 Grand Prize

2nd - $5,000

3rd - $3,500

4th - $2,500

5th - $1,500

6th - $1,000

7th - $750

8th and 9th - $500 each

10th to 15th - $400 each

16th to 20th - $300 each

21st to 25th - $200 each

Here are the Official Rules for the 2009/2010 FFPC Playoff Challenge:

1. FFPC scoring rules are in effect.

2. Each team will consist of 10 NFL players in a FFPC starting roster

format: 1-QB, 2-RB, 2-WR, 1-TE, 2-Flex, 1-K, 1-D

3. Each team will choose 10 players from any of the 12 playoff teams but

ONLY ONE PLAYER PER TEAM. To be clear, if you choose Peyton Manning as your

QB, you may NOT have any more Colt players on your roster.

4. This will be your roster for the duration of the playoffs and you will

not make any changes. As NFL teams get knocked out of the playoffs, so will

your players so draft your team accordingly.

5. Each week's score will be added to your team's total and the Superbowl

will count as DOUBLE the points. So instead of 1ppr it will be 2ppr, instead

of 6 pts per TD, it will be 12 pts per TD, etc, etc. This is done to create

a little more excitement the last game of the season and give teams a chance

to make up a deficit in the standings. Teams with the highest point total

after the Superbowl will be the winners. In the event of a tie, say #1 and

#2 finishing teams, the 1st & 2nd place prize money will be combined and

evenly divided between the two teams.

6. The NFL playoffs are scheduled to begin Saturday, January 8th, the time

has yet been announced by the NFL. The deadline for roster and payment

submission is 11:00AM Eastern on Saturday, January 8th but we encourage

everyone to submit their rosters as soon as possible. DEADLINE FOR ROSTER

SUBMISSION HAS BEEN MOVED TO SATURDAY 4:00PM EASTERN

7. We are working with RTSports to have the invites sent to each owner, so

that they can login and make roster changes as they see fir prior to the

first game's kickoff.

8. All rosters and scoring will be loaded and tracked on a RTSports league

page (on leagues.myffpc.com) and all rosters will be made public prior to

the start of the playoffs. Your existing FFPC login will work if you use the

same email address.

9. Entry Fee is $200 and registration has been created. You will be able to

register online using your credit card or you can mail a check/MO to the

following ADDRESS:

Mailing Address:

ForPlayers - ByPlayers, LLC (make checks payable to this company)

243 Fifth Avenue, Suite 520

New York, NY 10016

Please let us know if you are paying by mail so we look for your

correspondence, as we do not check the mail often this time of the year.

10. To submit your team with your CC payment, please type in the players

names in the "Comments" window at the bottom of the registration page or

wait for your league invite and enter your rosters by yourself.

11. To submit your team with your check/MO, please include it with your

12. Prizes will be paid out according to the announced structure. If we

exceed 192 teams, we will add to it at 85% of entry fees.

13. The prize winnings from this contest will count towards the 2011

calendar year. All prize winnings in excess of $600.00 will be reported with

with the IRS via a 1099 Form for the 2011 calendar year.

14. And lastly, ALL ARE WELCOME to play, not just FFPC and FPC participants

and you may enter as many times as you wish.

Feel free to join right away, we will be sending invites as soon as the

playoff teams are announced and the league is officially formed:
