For the People by the People

Church and State are not, never have been and never will be separate because both have one undeniable relationship. The Church hierarchy, like that of the political hierarchy, are both filled with supposed enlightened men and women who are chosen by one means or another to lead the masses. The Constitution or no other legal documentation is affected by this fact. This fact is only used to point out that we are no more free from hierarchial tyranny then we ever have been before. In fact, all democracy and capitalism have seemed to do is build a new system of serfdom.

Capitalism and Democracy have become nothing more then an altered caste system with some relatively free movement between the classes with materialism as their driving force. The obvious flaw of Capitalism being that of the assumption of unlimited resources and unlimited consumers. Both of which are known to be false. The amount of resources and consumers are both limited by the capacity of this Planets resources and our ability to allocate them. And of course, when resources run dry, consumers cease to exist.

The problem with any Government is Balance. A balance between the people's rights and the Governments power must be struck. This is where laws come in to place. But how should a government decide upon its laws? What rights do or should the people of any state or nation have? How shall they be formed? And, most important in my eyes, will the system at hand be able to be adapted as humans move through out history? I say most importantly because no founding father had the fore sight to predict such a distinct and profound change in human nature over the past two hundred twenty plus years. We've truly out done our predecessors in not only technological advances, but in historical documentation. Otherwise known as Media. Media brings atrocities to light. And one thing these atrocities share in common is a lack of morality and Law.

This being said, it is my hope that the new cultural revolution will be one of morality in the end. But, where does this morality come from? God? Nature? or man himself? We're already attempting to live in a state constructed around the morale teachings of Christianity, but these have proven to be problematic. Christianity has been the greatest repressive institution throughout its time in human history. I see Governments around the world becoming more and more repressive, like that of Christianity. However, like Christianity, I believe that the Governments must become less repressive to keep the people satisfied. Perhaps to prevent the weakest governments known to man, we should take another look at where our morals should be derived from.

The history of man doesn't seem like a terrible place for men to start a search for morals. We've committed crimes against each other since before recorded time. If we take a deeper look into the truly terrible and worse atrocities of mankind I believe a rational sense of morals could be derived. They would strictly be to prevent such horrific events as the on going Rwanda crisis and previous events such as the easily targeted Holocaust. The morals derived from these event should transcend all else because they are based in the experiences of man. They are the combination of Logical thinking and The Opinion of the masses. Not knowledge translated 15 times over thousands of years. Not knowledge observed from nature. But knowledge that is built straight out of the foundations of our societies. The People.
