Ford Fiesta & Figo Push Company's Sales To A 267% High

Ford Motors India posted a remarkable sales figure of 22

,858 units in the first quarter (from April-June'2010) as against 6,184 units sold in the same period last year. Many recent launches and a great marketing scheme have helped the company to accelerate its sales volumes in the year 2010, the testimony of which lies in the fact that the sales for the period of March-June 2010 are already in excess of the company's total sales recorded for the year 2009.

Speaking particularly for the month of June, the sales grew by a whopping 267%, where the company clocked total sales of 7,269 units, compared to 1,982 units sold in June'2009. The success achieved by the company in the month of June is mainly attributed to its latest entrant Ford Figo.

In the context of sales by Ford Motors India, there needs to be an unforgettable mention of the milestone achieved by the company when in the month of May, 100,000th Ford Fiesta rolled out of the company's facility. Ford Endeavour and Ikon have undoubtedly contributed to a great extent in the overall good sales volumes driven by the company.

The company officials seemed elated at the moment and mentioned that Figo has managed to draw 24,000 purchase orders in the first four months and is helping the company in driving sales. The company is all geared up to export the car to South Africa soon. The state of the art facility of the company in Chennai, India rolls out lacs of Figos manufactured in the sincere presence of world class engineers.

It seems that Ford India is all set to position itself amidst all its contemporaries as the company is seen increasing its network of after sales service programmes throughout India, strengthening its ties with customers and indeed building a strong brand image for its top player Ford Figo.
