So it was great news to find out that Ford and Shelby got back together to partner and build a new Ford Shelby Mustang Cobra in 2007. That was the first time since 1967 that both companies decided to get together and built a new Cobra. This was an exciting time for both companies because it had been to long since they built a Shelby Mustang together.
Ford Shelby GT500 used cars were designed on the award winning American and Canadian car of the year, the 2005 GT-500. Ford made this Mustang very affordable for the ordinary Joe to buy brand new. Also for what you paid and what you got in speed was just an awesome deal.
The 2007 GT500 has a V8, 5.4 Litre, 500 horsepower engine, it has 480 pound-ft of torque at 4,500 RPM. It has a six speed manual transmission and this allows the GT500 to go 0-60 in 4.91 seconds. The GT500 comes in two models a hard top coupe or a convertible. Its standard for both models to have leather seats and a CD changer. Both models come with 18 inch wheels.
This vehicle has some serious power and handling, it comes with anti-lock brakes, traction control and front seated air bags. The 2007 Shelby Cobra did receive a five star rating for a frontal test crash and also received a four star rating for a side test crash. You should realize when looking at Ford used cars like the 2007 Shelby GT500 that these cars still hold their value and can be expensive.
