Theres no doubt that article marketing is a powerful tactic which will bring traffic and back-links to your web pages. Using strong keywords will help you get more exposure and get indexed higher in the search engines too.

Writing articles is one of the most effective ways to drive targeted traffic to your sites. Dont worry, you dont have to be an expert writer. You just need consistent effort. Write and submit your articles regularly and make a name for yourself in your chosen niche. Over time, you will build a name for yourself and become an authority in this field.

So, what do you do with your article once its written? Well, obviously you want it to be read by as many people as possible and submitting your article to high-ranking article directories will allow your work to be widely read. Follow these steps for a successful marketing strategy:

1 Be specific about who youre targeting your articles at. The more specific you

are, the better youll be at attracting a target audience to your website. Ask yourself what your audience are looking for. Can you answer any questions they might have? Can you solve their problems?

2 Make sure you research your keywords, particularly for your title. Articles get

indexed by Google, MSN and Yahoo, so its in your best interests to optimize your article with these keywords. Make sure your article title contains relevant keyword phrases, known as long-tailed keywords

3 Decide on your article subject, making sure you use these keywords.

Research before you begin writing to ensure that you have all the necessary facts at your fingertips.

4 Start writing your article. This is easier than you think dont try and aim

for perfection, simply ensure the article is short, informative and entertaining. Start by choosing a small list of points you want to cover. Explain each of these points in a few sentences, giving your reader all the relevant information they need in an easy to read way. Keep your reader interested from start to finish dont lose them halfway or they wont reach your all-important resource box at the bottom of the article! Wrap up your article by reviewing what youve just written
