A backboard can be an acid free mount board or non-archival mount board, foam board or paper mat backing board.

Basically a picture frame can be a wood picture frame or a metal picture frame.

Wood picture frame: It is the most common type of photo frame made of wood. When it comes to frame your most treasured paintings or valuable photograph, then there is nothing better than wood frames which present a perfect combination of style, warmth and protection. Metal picture frame: Metal picture frames are generally made of metals like aluminum, silver, bronze or plastic. These metal frames come in various different profiles and are perfectly durable and holds contemporary style in them. Generally aluminum picture frame offer a high strength-to-weight ratio and can be thus used to protect large paintings.
