First thing you'll have to do is write an article. Now don't say you can't write. You're not trying to win a Pulitzer price here. And your writing skills will improve the more articles you write. So write a good quality article of about 400 words in length.

Next, submit that article to a top article directory like articlebase. While you're waiting for the article to be published, take the time to rewrite it. I use several different software's to automate this, but a good and free alternative is to create your own template in your word processor or notepad.

Using a template will speed up the writing process and keep you focused. Keep in mind that the rewritten articles should still be good quality.

Once the original article is published on a top directory, it's time for your next step in this article marketing strategy. Start publishing the rewrites on other sites. Most sites will allow at least 2 links in your resource box. Use one of these links to go back to your article in the top directory (this is a great place to get more traffic) and use the second link to go to your main money making site.

The reason the rewritten content still has to be good in this article marketing strategy, is that the owners of the sites where you publish them will only tolerate good content. I have a few sites of my own where other people can post their articles and I do delete bad articles. If your article is deleted, you will obviously lose the backlinks as well.

By the way, as you're publishing these articles for their backlinks, you don't have to target a specific keyword when writing them (do use a keyword for the anchor text link though). The articles do not have to rank in the search engines, so don't waste your time on SEO.

Here's another tip; some sites will let you put up links in the article itself not just the resource box. Use this to your advantage. Put a bolded anchor text link to your website in the first paragraph (if you can in the first sentence).
