You can buy numerous cheap, Forex robots online and they all promise big gains with no or little in draw down but they all lose money. On the other hand, you can use the two free ones we will look at in this article and make big consistent profits.

The problem with all the cheap robots sold is they have never been traded, they are just simulations over past data and have been made to make a profit in hindsight which is easy when you know the closing prices, but of course data never repeats exactly the same way again and these systems just destroy equity.

1. The 4 Week Rule

I have used this system for 25 years on its own and as a filter and makes great gains and is so simple you can learn it in a few minutes, because it only has one rule which is outlined below:

Buy any currency that breaks out to a 4 week high and hold the position until a 4 week low is hit and then go short. You then just keep reversing the position on new breaks to 4 week highs and lows and that's it! Its really simple but it works and is based on timeless logic which is all currencies trend long term and all big trends will start from breakouts.

The system was devised by Richard Donchian, who is seen as one of the most respected traders of all time and it doesn't just work on currencies, it will work on ANY market that trends. It needs discipline to follow but for those traders who can maintain discipline and look long term, this system is highly profitable.

2. The Turtle Trading Rules

This system was put together by another trading legend - Richard Dennis and is a breakout system like the 4 Week Rule. The system was used by some novice traders Dennis taught, to prove anyone with the right system could make money. He taught them the rules in a couple of weeks, then gave them trading accounts and they rewarded him with - a gain of over two hundred million in under 4 years!

This system is not as effective as when it was first used, due to changes in market volatility but it still makes money and in addition, it has fantastic money management parameters which any trader should look at, because money management is the foundation any successful Forex trading system is based on.
