Free Home School Resources - Don't Be Afraid
Free home school resources are all around us
Free home school resources are all around us. It just takes careful (and meticulous) planning to research carefully and to choose the appropriate ones and to cross-check intelligently all the information you find.
Where To Find Free Home School Resources
You can use books in your home, borrow from friends, use a library, and/or buy from a bookshop. Some information may be outdated or the trends and perceptions in that regard may have changed, so, cross-check it. While you are at the bookshop, look for free home school supplies, be they stationery or text books.
At your nearest University library approach lecturers in the relevant department or at least to get guidance as to where you may find the relevant information. Newspapers at home, and archived ones in the local library often supply information difficult to find elsewhere.
Try general, history or art museums for relevant information and/or a brochure or booklet which may even be free. On the Internet you can find almost anything by searching on every possible relevant keyword.
Have paper and a pen handy at all times when watching television news, documentaries and sometimes other programs, for relevant information for a current or future lesson. For an opinion-based lesson, take mental note of any relevant conversations that you hear or are part of, such as other peoples' conversation in a bus queue, or ones that you have started with your lesson/s in mind.
For information on current day music or poetry or art for even a small part of a lesson, buy or borrow a CD or DVD with music or poetry or art. If you have a local film library, or your video shop or local library has archived films, get information from a film or use it as part of the lesson as well as it being one of your free home school resources
Use one of various directories as one of your free home school resources, for example, to find what you need yourself, or to list certain types of companies which may form part of your lesson. Certain factories may supply you with information or even take you round the factory for you to glean the knowledge you need.
Most companies would be only too delighted to give you a company brochure. Some would be happy to answer your questions. The really eager and passionate free home school teacher will have the motivation and the dedication to approach such individuals as relevant writers, historians, ecologists and the like.
Whatever free home school resources you choose, authenticate the information as far as possible by checking other free home school resources, and file your information for easy current and future access.
