Freelance or Virtual Assistant as a Part of Your Internet Marketing Strategy?

Freelance or Virtual Assistant as a Part of Your Internet Marketing Strategy

?

As we explained in our first entry in the secrets to outsourcing article, your time is valuable. The less time you waste on mundane tasks, the more you can dedicate to making your Internet marketing strategy work. Just how valuable is entirely determined by how much money you are capable of making in a day. So the question arises: how can you stop wasting time on tasks that simply aren't worth your time?

Hiring a Freelancer

One of the ways that you can turn your time-wasting tasks into working, profit-generating time is by hiring a freelance worker. Generally speaking, freelancers work on a per-job basis. This means that if you have something specific that you need completed, like writing a batch of articles for your website or developing a logo for your website, then you would hire them for a set amount of money. Freelancers tend to be best used for particular tasks that you yourself are not capable of, or for tasks that you would spend an inordinate amount of time on.

Hiring a Virtual Assistant

Another one of the secrets of outsourcing are virtual assistants. Virtual assistants, or VAs, are essentially online secretaries that you will likely never have to deal with in person. Some of them are found in the United States and will demand a higher wage, whereas others are found in countries like India and China. While they will work for less, they are not native speakers of the language and this can be problematic.

VAs are great for handling mundane tasks, like making calls and scheduling appointments, and usually work on a per-hour basis. This makes hiring a VA optimal if you have a batch of tasks that you need completed, but don't want to do them yourself and you believe can be completed reasonably quickly.

While there are other avenues you can go to outsource tasks, like actually hiring someone, these can be time consuming and more expensive than they are worth. There are a number of great online sources for doing just this, and the best thing you could do for yourself to help in your outsourcing efforts is to spend a bit of time researching the best option for you.
