French Bleed Laminate Floors

French Bleed Laminate Floors are one of the newest looks for Laminate Flooring

. It is truly a one of a kind finish, with a very sophisticated look. This flooring style typically has a light embossed wood grain texture, and then has a dark ink like or blackened edges. This is how this style gets its name... as the ink looks like it has a bleeding effect around the seams. It gives the flooring an aged sort of look and elegantly defines each wood plank.

This style can look very rustic, yet it is often used by interior designers as a modern or classic look.

Back in the old days hardwood floors were not as high tech as they are today. They all used to have a solid color that would eventually wear through, and start to show a variety of shades... typically leaving the edges or seams darker than the middle of the planks. This elegant look is really timeless.

Since Laminate Floors almost exclusively a floating floor... they are simple for all the DIY homeowners to install themselves. You can simple snap each plank together with very little effort, and very few tools required. A chop saw or laminate cutter works perfectly. Along with a Laminate Floor Installation kit. (This typically includes a tapping block, pull bar and spacers). You can pick these up at almost any home improvement or flooring store. I personally love the laminate cutters, as you can lay them right on the floor next to you and cut the laminate floors as you go. Since they do NOT blow sawdust everywhere like a chop or miter saw. This saves time, and your knees and back, since you don't have to keep getting up and down off the floor to cut each board. If you want to use a chop saw or miter saw, I recommend you set it outside. Since you do NOT want the sawdust getting in between the seams or joints as you are installing. As it makes it difficult to install with any debris in the joints as they should be TIGHT fitting.

So if you are looking to really update and beautify your home, French Bleed Laminate Floors might just be exactly what you are looking for!!! Get a great high end style, with superior durability at a very affordable price.

Our favorite French Bleed Laminate Floors are from the Renoir Collection. This collection comes in 4 colors, Rustic Versailles, Hermilage Creme, Mistral Burgundy, and Orleans Coffee. Each plank has a 4-sided beveled edge... which gives it the most realistic look and feel. Beveled Edges also are more durable then a flat seam. Each plank is 5.51" wide and 47.83" long. Each box comes with 21.98 square feet per box. To see some beautiful photos taken by happy customers, please see French Bleed Laminate Floors Customer Photos.
