For some people, the ability to create that chemical diminishes as they age and as a result the bladder fills up more rapidly causing an urge while you are sleeping. If your nocturia is caused by this, it can be treated with medication.

There are many reasons and causes of frequent urination which is the reason you need to see your doctor to find the best treatment. That visit could also uncover conditions that need immediate treatment to prevent serious healy risks from developing. The bottom line is don't ignore your incontinence problem, seek medical help.
