Alcohol allergy reactions are very common among consumers of alcohol

. One of my friend, who once upon a time, used to drink a lot, never faced such allergies. After 2-3 continuous years of consumption of alcohol, one night he felt a stroke. He at that time told me about the allergic reaction he has started experiencing such as :

He felt helpless as he never heard about such reactions. He didnt even know how to deal with those allergic reactions. At the very first time, he thought that it might be because of too much consumption of alcohol, so initially he avoided consulting anybody regarding this. But on a frequent basis whenever he consumes alcoholic beverages, the same problem keep on persisting. He then discussed this with me. We together did research about such allergy reaction and then came to know that this is all about the fact that such reaction shoot up when human body is deficient of an inactive enzyme called Aldehyde Dehydrogenase. When alcohol is consumed, it is absorbed by the blood within 15 minutes. After the alcohol is metabolised, a by-product is produced called as acetaldehyde, which is again needs to be metabolised due to its toxic nature. Human body which is enzyme deficient, is not able to proceed with its metabolism process and hence as a results such alcoholic allergy reaction shown up.

In a research it is found that nearly 50% of the Asians experience such allergic reactions, no matter if they dont drink regularly or have no addictions to alcohol. Although Asian arent the only one effected with alcohol allergy reactions.

Prevention of such allergy can be done with the help of taking antacids such as Zantac and pepcid etc. But remember, this can be helpful for some but may not for all. Such prevention varies with the variations of human body. Similarly, cure for one body type may not prove helpful for other body type. Factors which will vary from person to person are its body type, body weight, gender, etc. For that reason, a person is advised that, he /she can try his own way out only to a limit, till he is really feeling an improvement in reactions. But if he doesnt experience any improvement, he should consult an expert. Consultations with the doctor are recommended due to the fact that expert will analyze your body type and will suggest you medication according to it.
