There is a long fishing pier that extends out hundreds of feet into the ocean inlet on Hunting Island which is just across the bridge from Fripp as well as another long fishing pier that extends from the other end of Fripp Island over towards Pritchard's Island - which is uninhabited.For the shopper, there are numerous shops and boutiques on the island offering everything from casual wear to gifts and souvenirs. The Spring Tide Market is a cute little grocery store that sells everything from fruit, vegetables, frozen foods, bread, lunch meat and cheeses to beer, wine and boogie boards - for wave riders of all ages!Guests have a choice of five different restaurants on the island - The Ocean Point Grill, The Beach Club Restaurant, Bonita Boathouse, Savannah's Lounge, and The Cabana Club Restaurant. There are seven different swimming pools on the island. One of them that is heated year round at Veranda Beach overlooks the ocean. There are eight soft and two hard surface tennis courts for your enjoyment as well as jogging, biking and roller blade trails, and scenic Audubon nature paths. You can also rent boats, jet skis, kayaks, golf carts, bikes, mopeds, or book a seat on one of the regularly scheduled excursion boats for dolphin watching, shelling, and exploring!Fripp Island is also a state designated wildlife sanctuary where hundreds of deer live that will eat right out of your hand if you have some fruit or vegetables with you.
