Ft. Myers car dealer benefits from vocal chords of famous star

When you think of Cadillac, you think of silky smooth luxury. You want to represent your brand in every way you know how, and it has to stay true to the message that has built the brand over the years. The brand has been somewhat quiet over the last several years, but a big name will be joining the team in the near future. I'm of course talking about Laurence Fishburne, a recognized Hollywood brand himself, who will lend his voice to Cadillac commercials over the coming year. He will join Tim Allen and Jeff Bridges in his voice-over portrayal for the automotive industry, who have been lending their own golden pipes to other brands. Allen and Bridges represent Chevy and Hyundai respectively. Much to the happiness of Ft. Myers Cadillac STS drivers, Fishburne's role around began with a voice-over commercial during the New Year's Day Rose Bowl game.

It's great to see Fishburne with some solid work again. He broke into Hollywood way back in the day as a child actor in Apocalypse Now, one of the defining movies of the Vietnam War zeitgeist. Since then, he's worked on several projects, including the wildly popular The Matrix, which followed its success up with two sequels that Ft. Myers Cadillac STS owners weren't quite as thrilled about. "At Cadillac our ambition is to continue to set a new standard in our own distinctive way," said Don Butler, vice president for Cadillac marketing. "We are excited to be working with Laurence Fishburne as we bring new thinking to the automotive luxury space in 2011." His voice truly is the silky smooth representation that Cadillac needs to compete in this age of advertising. While he hasn't done much of any interest since The Matrix, Fishburne still represents a powerful force in Hollywood one that could find itself on the brink of Oscar honors any year now. While I don't think he'll ever top Apocalypse Now in terms of doing a movie with that kind of impact, there is still plenty of room for him to come through in a role that will continue to help shape him as an actor.
