Lighting matches You can use your violet laser pointers to light matches at home. As opposed to rubbing the match stick against the matchstick, you can focus the laser pointer onto the match and the match will light up. You will need to adjust the high power laser pointer to the smallest focus point. You the need to focus the laser pointer onto to the head of the matchstick for a few seconds and the match stick will light up. This can be quite fun when doing at home. You can also find this use handy when your match box becomes wet and you cannot use it to light matches.

Melting ice Another fun use of the high power laser pointers is to melt ice in the house. By focusing your laser beam onto an ice block, the laser rays melts off the ice to form interesting holes on to the ice block. You can use a small focus point by adjusting the focusable laser pointer to drill a small hole into the ice block while leaving the rest of the ice intact. Poking balloons The violet laser pointers can also be used to poke balloons for fun. If you focus the laser pointer onto a balloon hang on the ceiling or any other part, the balloon will bust. Balloon poking is faster when you adjust the pointer to a small size. By pointing the focusable laser pointer continually on balloons, they will bust.

Burning holes on wood and papers You can also use the violet laser pointers to burn out holes onto a paper or pieces of wood. You can focus different sizes of points with your focusable laser pointer to get different hole size onto the paper of wood bits.
