Step One: The Role of Fan

A dehumidifier first utilizes a fan to start off with the process of dehumidifying air inside the room. This fan works towards pulling out warm air from the room. This remains a constant process with the dehumidifier which facilitates removing excess dampness in the air. Thereafter, the warm air collected is allowed to pass over freezing coil inside the unit.

Step Two: Condensation

The freezing coil inside the dehumidifier works just the same as an air conditioner coil. As soon as the warm air meets cool air, the water or moisture available in the air condenses. It settles on these coils. After some time, the water starts falling and gets collected in to a container.

Step Three: Heated Coil

The final step is to allow the cold air pass over heated coil. This is an essential process because this is what sets a dehumidifier apart from other cooling systems such as an air conditioner. This process allows cold air to return back to the room temperature.

Most people are under a notion that a dehumidifier works for changing or altering room temperature. However, this is not true. It only works for removing dampness from air, cleaning it and makes it free from air borne pollutants. This makes the air inside the room breathable and fresh. The humidity levels inside a room can be effectively removed using a dehumidifier. It makes the environment, a comfortable place to live in.
