GTX Corp. (OTCBB: GTXO) Samsung Breeds GPS Tracking App Opportunity
Recent press revealing outstanding performance for Samsung Electronics Co
. Ltd in the smar tphone market translates into new opportunities for
GTX Corp., a leading company in the development of GPS Tracking Apps.
The Agreement To Provide Online Mobile Content And Services For Mobile Devices, signed this past July, marks the beginning of a company solidifyingitself as Samsung develops versions of the GTX's GPS Tracking Apps specifically engineered for cell phones that run on electronic giant's Bada platform, in exchange for a non recurring engineering development fee.
Samsung expects to sell up to 25M smartphones in 2010 (7M more than analyst and the company's earlier projections) and forecasts $50M in sales for 2011, due mostly to the market performance of The Galaxy S, Samsung's first smartphone on the Google Android platform, and its recent agreement with GTX Corp.
Besides the success of the Galaxy, the new Samsung Epic 4G received Editor's Choice awards from Laptop and PCMag, and has been praised by Fared Adib, Vice President of Product Development for Sprint Retail Stores, quoted as saying "With its beautiful Super AMOLED touch-screen, full QWERTY keyboard and two cameras, Samsung Epic 4G is a terrific smartphone that delivers the promise of the Sprint 4G network. As we continue to build out our 4G network, more and more of our customers will realize the benefits of these amazing devices and the realities of life at these blazing-fast speeds".
Samsung has also just opened a new revenue stream with the release of the Galaxy Tab, a tablet aiming to compete with Apple's iPad, which runs on Google's Android software. The Samsung tablet, which is expected to be released in the U.S. in the next few months, features a smaller screen and similar characteristics to the Apple iPad, but boasts the additional benefit of supporting the latest version of Adobe Flash, software Steve Jobs has been criticized for not allowing to run on his iPad OS. At a cost which is expected to vary between $200 and $300, Samsung is positioning themselves to delve right into the App market.
With the formal launch of the GPS Tracking Apps by GTX Corp, both companies are now going to enjoy a huge synergy. The GPS Tracking Apps are expected to be available for sale on the Samsung Application Store in October 2010.
