Guild Wars is one of the most interesting massively multiplayer online games available today. Whether you are a veteran or a novice it can be tremendously appealing to all. One can engage in cooperative group combat or guild battles. You have the freedom to manipulate the world around you.

Customize your character as you enter the game. You can be male or female and large or small, with 90 combinations of ten professions - Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Elementalist, Mesmer, Necromancer, Ritualist, Assassin, Dervish, and Paragon. Each profession has its own strengths, unique skills and characteristics. The possibilities are mind-boggling.

The primary profession determines the hero's basic appearance and the secondary profession provides the hero with a set of attributes that compliment the first. As you play the game you can change your appearance by changing costumes. The costumes can be worn over one's existing armor to change one's appearance without it affecting your stats. The costumes can be picked up from NC store.

As you enter the game you make new friends, connect with old friends in towns or outposts, form a party, and then go tackle a quest together. The party has a unique copy of the quest map, and with the dynamic quest freedom, your accomplishments have a unique impact on the future. You can experiment with your character in the game. New characters can be created or deleted anytime, thereby allowing you to experiment with and specialize in the perfect profession combinations that suit you best. Guilds can challenge others guild to a battle, compete for control of key parts in alliance battles and be ranked on a world wide ladder.

Locations found in Guild Wars can be segregated into towns or anything else. If you are uncertain of your location, right click on the mouse and look around with your character. If you see the other characters are in blue, you are likely to be in a town, which could range from a smaller outpost to a missing hub. If you see red dots, then you are outside the town in the great wide everything else.
