Lalgudi G. Jayaraman along with his son Lalgudi G.J.R. Krishnan presents the Gana Sagaram, a true musical feast made possible through their adept violin playing skills. He followed along the footsteps of his father and started learning music at an age of five. He gave his first performance in the year 1973 and became instantly famous in the music circles. He has been the recipient of awards such as Best violinist Award by Music Academy, Madras and Yuva Kala Bharati by Bharat Kalachar. The performance is rich in rhythm and melody and brings out the individual musical traits of both the violin maestro, Lalgudi G. Jayaraman and his son. They are accompanied on the Mridangam by the famous Mridangam virtuoso and composer, Professor Trichi Sankaran.
