It seems to me that there are 3 categories of internal batteries:
1. Lithium Battery (5 years) - the CF GPS Fortuna example. This is good but after 5 years can be discarded.
2. Capacitor - on Globalsat GPS (or it takes within 48 h) or Fortuna GPSmart or it takes one week - almost immediate reloading for Globalsat
3. Rechargeable Battery (Holux, Emtac, Haicom) - the AC takes at least a week but it takes longer to load (48h?) - Probably Lithium-Ion
